One Crafty Husband.
What can I say, I am pretty partial to this guy. He is my voice of reason, my motivator, and the person who keeps me fed, on time and sane… mostly.
#onecraftyhusband has been a tag on my Instagram and Facebook for quite some time now. But recently the mr. has branched out into the social media world with his own accounts. This follows the remarkable workshop I attended through Pony Friday and Kayak Online Marketing, where the fab-mazing people I met suggested that he have a voice in the internet world. I came home and pitched the idea, and BOOM! One.Crafty.Husband was a thing!
I am so excited push his brand a little! He is the CNC user in our house, as well as the router setter. Frequently he reaches things on shelves for me. What has he been tasked with making lately? Well, he has been cutting growth charts like crazy! They have been flying off the virtual shelves this New Year, which is INCREDIBLE! So if you have purchased one of our carved charts, we appreciate you!!!! Also, if you follow my insta, you will see I have been on a unicorn kick, OCH has been cutting me unicorns, mermaids, circles, apples, and any other crazy shape I can think of. Let me not forget that he recently purchased a laser for our CNC router. The items coming out of the shop these days are pretty damn slick.
All that being said, be sure to get onto instagram to follow the latest and greatest that my way better half has to offer. www.instagram.com/one.crafty.husband
So - blogging, lets just go ahead and say I'm not usually one to write anything.
If I had a choice in the matter I would piggy back on everyone else's comment in a group birthday card. With that being said, I am pushing out of my comfort zone to introduce the OCM blog.
Hi, I'm Sam-One Crafty Mother. Lets just say that I have always had a keen preference for the hot glue gun, glitter, being alone.... only child style.
Fast forward a few years... a husband, some kids a couple of cats, and the desire to make some stuff. We started with hair clips, branched into making furniture, then slowly transformed into painting signs. Over the last 3 years, I have worked at and practiced my techniques bringing me to the stage I'm at today!
In 2016, the opportunity to host one of the most amazing and successful markets in our area came up!
The Picket Fence Market, hosted by 'Please Paint Me' for a number of years in Olds, became available for a change in coordination. After collaborating on the first market together the reins were turned over to OCM.
The market currently happens 3 times a year, Spring, Oldstoberfest Rodeo, and Holiday and we added a holiday POP UP SHOP to our calendar this past year! We look forward to all the new adventures we get to take on in 2018!
