Cutting Board Care

Enjoy your cutting board! be sure to take good care of it.

A- DO NOT EVER PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER,

whew, now that that's out the way, lets look at more helpful hints

B- Cut on the reverse of the image + carved side

(Obviously)

C- Clean and oil regularly

I've attached some links below from sites that I find useful, unfortunately none of the links are sponsored, no kick backs here (sad face LOL)

Oiling

Clean your board, and let dry overnight.

Use your hands to apply a generous layer of mineral oil to the sides, top, bottom, and any groove, grip, or handle. You don’t need puddles of oil on your board, just enough to cover the wood with an even coat. Like a hungover coworker on a Wednesday morning, the wood needs hydration. Let the oil soak into the board for at least three hours.

HAHAHHA, hungover co-worker!

Cleaning

Make your own cleaning solution by mixing one part vinegar to four parts water and pour it over the cutting board. After sitting for a few minutes, simply rinse and then hand wash the board with soap and water.
